Thanksgiving 2025

One beautiful day, Kale joined the Skaling family for a day at Sherbrooke Village with some other home-schooling families! ( Kale is on the right)

She loved her time there so much

It was a great day for her, and we are so happy she could join in on the fun!!!

Leila and I have been spending alot of time driving together - Leila does the driving and chatting, and I mostly listen ( and advise as needed) :0) . She is a good little driver.

and sometimes we get pictures like this from NBBI - how wonderful it is for the girls to have so many cousins and friends learning about Jesus and His Word together!!

This fall I also got a grain mill!!!!
My wheat berries look so pretty in the pantry!
Pancakes turned out great!

Cassie came home for a quick weekend, and her goal is to have her Christmas cards to the printer before she heads back!
Just Kale - reading with Fred on her shoulder :0)

We also took out our fall decor - then I turned around and saw dear Wesley all dressed up in a festive sweater - haha - he doesn't mind

another picture from school - cousins with matching shirts :0)

Part of our home-schooling day is walking the dogs together.

Kale was SO excited to find this guy FREE on kijiji!

A silkie rooster not related to her hens.

Her Grampie drove her to pick him up.

But on his second night here, we arrived home late from youth group, and he was not in the coop. We searched and searched with flashlights, but we couldn't find Lenny anywhere....

WE prayed for his safety and went to bed.

The next morning I was up and out calling for him - I spotted this dark "dot" waaaayyy down our neighbor's field and started towards it!

It was LENNY coming towards me - soaked and cold!! I took him right up to Kale, and it was the best way for her to wake up!! He survived a night out in the wilds of Riversdale, and we are so thankful to God for keeping him safe!

Kale picked the apple orchard today!!

Leila and I arrived for her road test, and during the van inspection they realized that our parking brake was not working properly....so her test could not be continued!

Poor Leil.

They said if we could find another vehicle to test with, they could fit her in later that day, so we asked our Pastor of we could use their van, as it is a Kia like ours!

He said "sure", so Leila had a little bit of practice driving their van before we headed back for her test....for the second time that day!

We arrived early, so we thought we would enjoy our iced coffees while we waited! As soon as I snapped this picture, the instructor came to her window asking if she was ready!

Off she went!

AND SHE PASSED!!!

I was just getting settled in the waiting room and praying for her test when she pulled back in....I was worried the test must have ended abruptly for some reason, but she came in and said it was short, but that she had passed :0)

Four drivers, 2 to go!!!!

This double rainbow was so pretty!!

Our college girls came home for Thanksgiving weekend!!!!!

Penelope and Terry had completed the patio in time for us to enjoy breakfast together that weekend :0)

games were played

half of us won....half us us did not :0)

and we were off to finish the weekend with the Cameron's in NB!!!

the sky was so pretty on the last little bit of our drive

Let the fun begin!!! :0)

Andrea's coffee/tea nook was so cute!

asking their aunt for haircuts - haha

sometimes animals really like Terry....and it makes me laugh

This dear thing was in labor that day - the girls loved spending time with her - encouraging her along the way

Enjoying the corner cafe :0)

morning sleepy cousin pile-ups for a picture :0)

Peeling vegetables for lunch!!

It is so fun being busy together

I also went out to visit Fiona - she is the cutest

:0) I love this picture

and this one! Cassie with a framed print of her watercolor of Fiona on her Uncle & Aunt's wall :0)

These two worked on centerpieces

Penelope's hair even got some decor!

These two will usually find eachother for a snuggle in the midst of all the business.....

Gramp & Gram do the turkey's often at our gatherings - I forget how much this one weighed, but they grow them large!!!

Wonderful food and surrounded with love

this view also makes me smile big!

WE had to leave right before puppies arrived, but the college girls sent pictures later that night of the tired mama and healthy babies.

Happy Hobbit Day!

The girls texted us these pictures from NBBI too - super cute!

:0)

We only have half our girls at home now, but we are SO thankful to get to hang out with these 3 everyday!

Leila is enrolled at CCA this semester, and will be home after Christmas to finish her last two courses.

But now she can drive herself in, and that is so handy some days!!!!

Leila snapped these pictures of dear ole Winston

Anyone else want to join Cam and snuggle a turkey??

haha - limited time offer as we have 8 for the next week, and then Terry is planning to start putting them in the freezer.

Cammie and Myla

AND Bea :0)

Fall is coming to an end....the days are getting more and more cool, and the leaves are gathering on the lawn.

We will enjoy each day to the fullest
